Odisha, October 10: Meteorological Center Bhubaneswar has issued heavy rainfall warning for the next three days in the state of Odisha in the light of cyclonic storm Titli. The state government has asked officials to remain alert till the situation gets better. The possible threat of a cyclone has pushed the state government to cancel holidays of emergency personnel. Cyclone Titli to Intensify Into Severe Cyclonic Storm, Red Alert Issued in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh; Centre Says Situation Monitored at Highest Level.

Fishermen have been asked not to venture deep into the sea areas of central Bay of Bengal during October 8 to 12 and north Bay of Bengal between October 9 to 12. Schools and colleges are closed in four districts in Odisha which is on high alert as cyclone Titli heads towards the coast.

Red warning (where extremely heavy rainfall to occur) has been issued for Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara district, Orange warning (heavy to very heavy rainfall) is made for the districts of Khura, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Bhardak and Balasore districts on October 10.
