Northern Railway Partners With Ola to Improve Last Mile Connectivity in Delhi
The Ola kiosks would reduce the cab-waiting time at the five stations to barely two minutes, report said.
New Delhi, Feb 27: The Northern Railway has partnered with cab aggregator Ola to improve last mile connectivity in Delhi-NCR. At least five stations in the national capital - New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Old Delhi, Sarai Rohilla and Hazrat Nizamuddin - will be provided with Ola kiosks to resolve the transport woes faced by passengers to reach home.
The Ola kiosks would reduce the cab-waiting time at the five stations to barely two minutes, report said.
Apart from the Ola kiosks, a dedicated parking corridor, also known as Ola Zones, will also be provided for the company's cab drivers at these five railway stations.
Confirming the tie-up Ola's Delhi-NCR unit head Pranav Mehta said the cab aggregator would work towards smart mobility solutions by ensuring last mile connectivity.
Ola had earlier entered into a pact with Rapid Metro Gurugram, Larsen & Toubro Metro Rail Hyderabad Limited (LTMRHL) and Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited, in order to improve commutation to and fro from the stations.
Ola was also roped in earlier by the Ajmer Junction Railway Station and the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru to resolve commutation woes for the passengers.
