Mumbai, September 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his birthday on Sunday, September 17, will dedicate "YashoBhoomi" to the people of the country in Dwarka. PM Narendra Modi's vision of having world-class infrastructure to host meetings, conferences and exhibitions in the country will be strengthened with the inauguration of "Yashobhoomi" at Dwarka in Delhi. PM Modi will inaugurate and dedicate Phase 1 of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC) called "Yashobhoomi".
Besides Yashobhoomi, PM Modi will also inaugurate the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line from Dwarka Sector 21 to a new metro station, "Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25". The India International Convention and Expo Centre, or "YashoBhoomi" as it will be known, is PM Narendra Modi's plan for the country to have a top-notch infrastructure to hold meetings, conferences, exhibitions and conventions. PM Modi's vision will become reality once "YashoBhoomi" becomes operational at Dwarka.

Key Facts About YashoBhoomi

- Yashobhoomi, also called India International Convention and Expo Centre, will be inaugurated in Delhi's Dwarka. Yashobhoomi - a world-class convention centre, spans an area of 8.9 lakh square metres and has a total built-up area of more than 1.8 lakh square metres.
- YashoBhoomi has the capacity to host over 11,000 delegates at the same time, besides becoming one of the world's largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities.
- The world-class convention, which has been developed at a cost of around Rs 5400 crore, boasts 15 convention rooms, including the main auditorium, grand ballroom, and 13 meeting rooms.
- The main auditorium of YashoBhoomi has a seating capacity of 6,000 people, while the grand ballroom can host another 2,500 guests. The Convention centre also has the largest LED media facade in the country.
- Regarding safety and security, "Yashobhoomi" is equipped with high-tech security provisions to ensure the safety of the visitors. The convention centre also has an underground car parking facility for over 3,000 cars, besides being equipped with more than 100 electric charging points.
- YashoBhoomi also boasts of one of the largest Exhibition halls in the world, which has been built across over 1.07 lakh square metres. The exhibition halls will be utilised for hosting exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events, among others.
- The world-class convention will be connected to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line after the inauguration of the new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 by PM Narendra Modi on the same day.
- The India International Convention and Expo Centre, or Yashobhoomi, has been built using materials and objects inspired by the Indian culture. The centre has been developed using terrazzo floors with Brass inlay representing rangolis patterns, suspended sound-absorbent metal cylinders, and patterned walls.
- With regards to sustainability, YashoBhoomi is equipped with a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system with 100 percent wastewater reuse, rainwater harvesting, and rooftop solar panels, among others. The inauguration of "Yashobhoomi" comes after the grand launch of Bharat Mandapam, which was used to host the G20 Summit in Delhi under India's presidency. After Bharat Mandapam, YashoBhoomi will become the second convention facility to have top-notch facilities for exhibitions and conferences in the country.
