Mumbai, July 24: Many fatal rail accidents have been reported in the recent past involving commuters who slip into the gap between the platform and the train. In a fresh incident reported in Mumbai's Kanjurmarg railway station, a woman slipped while boarding a local train on Tuesday evening. Similar incidents were been reported earlier, in which railway constables' prompt actions and brave-heartedness helped save lives of passengers who misjudge the speed of the local train and slip accidentally. At Panvel railway station, a man was saved after he tried to board a moving express train thinking that it's slow. However, the train gathered speed and the man slipped from the footboard of the compartment as he failed to manage his grip. It was an alert constable who saved him in the nick of time. The CCTV on the railway station similarly captured the entire episode.
