Lucknow, December 3: In a shocking incident, a woman in her twenties was set on fire by two molesters for allegedly resisting molestation and filing a police complaint against them. The woman is battling for life after suffering 60 per cent burns, said police to Times of India. The attack comes when she was going to the police station for the second time, two days after being molested, to file a police complaint as she was turned away for the first time by police. The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur district on Saturday, while she was going police station for the second time. Earlier on November 29, the accused had assaulted her by passing lewd comments, however, she managed to flee. When she reached Tambaur police station, she was turned away, reported TOI. The incident has led to the suspension of the Station House Officer (SHO) and Head Constable for not paying attention to woman's earlier complaint of sexual harassment. The accused identified as Raju and Rajesh were arrested on Sunday after FIR of molestation and murder was registered against them in the police station. Meanwhile, the senior police personnel are probing the negligence on the part of police officials.
