Mumbai, March 2: Messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out new features for iOS users. WhatsApp has introduced a new animation for voice messages and disables receipts for them. Notably, it will depend on the read receipts. The new feature is available in the App store as the messaging app has been updated to version 2.21.40.

The new feature will reportedly bring only little changes to WhatsApp. As per reports, for voice messages, a new progress bar animation has been added. Once a voice message bar reportedly reached its end, it will start automatically, reported NDTV Gadgets 360. At present, the feature is only available for users who have iOS 13 and above. WhatsApp Rolls Out Shopping Button to Make It Easier for People to Discover a Business’ Catalog.

The ability to disable the read receipts for voice messages is also introduced by the messaging app. WhatsApp users would now be able to switch off the read receipts. Notably, read receipts notify the sender of whether a person to whom they have sent the message listened to the audio or not.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also rolling out a feature by which its users could import custom third party animated sticker packs in the app. WhatsApp leaker WABetaInfo in a tweet, said, “WhatsApp is rolling out the possibility to import third-party animated sticker packs in Brazil 🇧🇷, India 🇮🇳 and Indonesia 🇮🇩, for iOS and Android users TODAY! Sticker Maker app will help you to create animated sticker packs within the next few hours!”
