Kolkata, July 23: At least two people have been killed after a building collapsed in West Bengal's Sealdah area on Monday afternoon. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were pressed into service soon after the deadly incident took place. According to a tweet by ANI, the building was 100 years old. An investigation into the incident has been initiated. More details are awaited.
The building collapse incident comes a day after a five-storey building collapsed near Missal Gadi in Ghaziabad killing two people. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel were pressed into service soon after the incident. A total of nine people have been rescued by NDRF teams and search operations are underway.
Earlier this week, after two buildings, fell down in Greater Noida’s Shahberi Beri village, claiming nine lives. The building was located in the Akash Nagar area of Masuri police station limits.
