Bir Bahadur Singh, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporter was shot at by unidentified assailants near Masjid Talab area under Garden Reach Police Station in West Bengal's Kolkata on Monday. The RSS was rushed to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Kolkata, December 2: Bir Bahadur Singh, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporter was shot at by unidentified assailants near Masjid Talab area under Garden Reach Police Station in West Bengal's Kolkata on Monday. The RSS worker was rushed to the hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. West Bengal: 23-Year-Old BJP Worker Shot Dead in Nadia District.
According to the police, the attack was carried out by two-bike borne assailants at around 10 am in the morning. Bir Bahadur Singh is a well-known RSS functionary in the locality. The BJP has claimed that the attack was carried out by Trinamool Congress goons. The Mamata Banerjee's party, however, denied the allegations. The saffron party also alleged that cops are trying to protect the culprits.
At least 14 people were injured during clashes between TMC and BJP workers at Dum Dum in North 24 Parganas district on Sunday. Both the TMC and BJP had alleged that those attacked were their party workers, and blamed each other for the clashes.
