The incident came to light after the girl's father lodged a complaint, claiming that his daughter, along with her friend, had killed his wife on June 6.
According to the India Today report, the father delayed filing the complaint for over a month due to threats from the minors. According to the father, his daughter had been in a relationship with the boy, whom she met on social media, for over a year and a half. The victim often scolded her daughter and disapproved of the relationship, which allegedly led the minors to plan the murder. Minor Girl Kills Mother With Help of Boyfriend
On the night of June 6, the girl invited her friend to her house. The boy allegedly strangled the girl's mother and punched her in the chest. When the father woke up, the boy pushed him out of bed and threatened to kill him if he revealed the incident. The father initially reported his wife's death as natural and cremated her the same afternoon. However, after filing the complaint, the minors were arrested and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
