West Bengal: Fire Engulfs Mother & Child Care Unit of Government Medical College & Hospital in Cooch Behar
According to a tweet by ANI, the fire broke out in Cooch Behar area of the state. As soon as the incident was reported, three fire tenders present at the spot. Reports inform that all the patient were evacuated safely from the hospital premises.
Kolkata, August 29: In a tragic incident, a massive blaze erupted in the Mother & Child Care Unit of the Government Medical College and Hospital in West Bengal. According to a tweet by ANI, the fire broke out in Cooch Behar area of the state. As soon as the incident was reported, three fire tenders present at the spot. Reports inform that all the patient were evacuated safely from the hospital premises.
Earlier in July, a similar incident was reported from a hospital in Jaipur a massive fire engulfed the ICU centre following a short circuit. The smoke engulfed the ICU on the first floor of JK Lon Hospital in the pink city. Reports inform that people felt suffocated and they had to be shifted to another floor of the hospital.

In June, a similar fire incident was reported from West Bengal where a major blaze engulfed a hotel in Lenin Sarani area of Kolkata. As soon as the incident was reported, five fire engines were pressed into action to douse the blaze. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
