Kolkata, October 7: A blaze was reported in a firecracker factory in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal on Sunday. The fire erupted in the afternoon, reports said, quoting locals who claimed that three explosions were heard back-to-back after the flames were spotted.
The crackers factory where the fire incident was reported is located in at Gobindapur bypass. The blaze was brought under control by the time this report was first published. Fire on Moving Bus Carrying 30 Passengers in Lucknow, Watch Video.
At least 10 workers employed at the factory have been injured. The police has rushed them to the nearby hospitals, where their condition has been reported as stable.
One employee was arrested by the police, whereas, a hunt has been launched for the firecracker factory owner who absconded after the incident.

The incident comes days after two people were killed in a fire which broke out in a crackers factory in Gangapur area of Nadia district, on September 14.
Two days before the Gangapur incident, a fire was reported at the College More market in South Parganas district. While no casualties occurred, at least four shops were gutted in the blaze.
