West Bengal Chief Minister also said that the state government is committed to take the necessary step and said that TMC government will bear all expenses of a junior doctor who is admitted. "State is fully committed to take the necessary steps. The state has taken the decision to bear all the expenses of medical treatment of the junior doctor who is admitted at a private hospital," she said.
Doctors went on a strike after a junior doctor was thrashed by a mob after a patient's death on Monday. The stir spread across the nation after Banerjee warned them and gave four hours ultimatum. The strike was supported by AIIMS and Safdarjung Hospital, who boycotted the work on Friday. Resident doctors in several states also staged a protest.
