West Bengal: BJP Youth Wing Workers Recite Hanuman Chalisa on Road in Protest Against Muslims' Friday Namaz, Watch Video

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers took to roads to recite Hanuman Chalisa near Bally Khal in Howrah on Tuesday. The BJP youth wing said that they would continue recitation on all Tuesdays on all main roads near Hanuman temples till Friday Namaz like that is offered.

Howrah, June 26: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers on Tuesday took to roads to recite Hanuman Chalisa near Bally Khal in Howrah. District BJYM President OP Singh said, “GT Road is blocked to offer Friday namaz. Patients die, people can't reach office on time.” He further added that recitation would continue on all Tuesdays on all main roads near Hanuman temples till Friday Namaz like that is offered.

The BJYM’s protest against Mamata Banerjee government came days after a teacher in West Bengal was brutally beaten up and pushed off a moving train for not chanting the ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan. The incident took place on June 20. According to reports, the 26-year-old madrasa teacher claimed that he was beaten up and was pushed from a moving train by a group of men while he was on his journey from Canning in South 24 Parganas district to Hooghly. The teacher was identified as Hafeez Mohammed Sahrukh Haldar.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) are at loggerheads in West Bengal. During the campaigning of the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections incidents of violence took place between workers of both the parties. Banerjee also skipped the all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after taking the oath for the second consecutive time
