Kolkata, December 10: In a yet another instance of political violence in West Bengal, a block level BJP worker has been killed on Sunday night while four others have been injured in the attack. According to Union Minister and BJP MP Babul Supriyo, the victim, Supriyo Ghosh, was returning from a party meeting on Sunday night when he was brutally murdered. Along with Sandip, there were four others who have been injured in the attack, who are currently hospitalised. Babul Supriyo said that all four survivors have alleged that Trinamool Congress-sponsored sand mafia Saiful is behind the attack. Attacking TMC, Babul Supriyo tweeted, "Sandip Ghosh, Rupganj Booth president of Asansol-Durgapur Kanksha Block was brutally shot dead while he was coming back home at around 10 pm after a party meeting in SaraswatiGunj. 4 others injured & admitted in Durgapur Mission Hospital hs named TMC-Sheltered Sand Mafia Saiful."
He further added, "Deeply anguished and distressed in the manner TMC has resorted 2 robbing young lives and ALL VERY MUCH within the knowledge of Mamta Banerjee TMC, run by money from Mafia and Goon won't be forgiven and they shall sure perish&pay the price for such heinous acts Just a matter of Time."
Meanwhile, the BJP and TMC are currently locked horns in a legal fight as Bharatiya Janata Party was not given permission to hold 'Rath Yatra' in the state.
