Bhopal, July 22: Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Madhya Pradesh, bringing normal life to a standstill. The state has been reeling under severe flood-like conditions after a series of weather systems affected the state since the start of July. According to a tweet by ANI, the visuals captured show a car which was parked near a drain swept away after the drain overflowed. The incident was reported in Gwalior's Taraganj area following heavy rain.
According to a report by private weather agency Skymet Weather, the rainfall across the state was strong enough to cause flooding rains over most parts, with the eastern half of the state bearing more brunt of the deluge causing showers.

According to a weather forecast by IMD, heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy fall will be observed at isolated places very likely over Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha over the next few days. Reports inform that the axis of monsoon trough passes through Anupgarh, Sikar, Agra, Gwalior, Allahabad, Daltonganj and towards East-central Bay of Bengal.
The IMD's bulletin on Sunday predicted that the Depression over the northwest Bay of Bengal (BOB) moved northwestwards with a speed of 07 kmph during past 06 hours and crossed north Odisha West Bengal coasts between Balasore and Digha and lay centred at 1730 hours IST of today, the 21st July 2018 over the north coastal Odisha and adjoining coastal West Bengal & Northwest Bay of Bengal.
