Bettiah, June 6: In a shocking incident, BJP National vice-president and former Bihar minister Renu Devi's brother Pinu was seen assaulting a chemist at a medical shop for allegedly not standing up to show him respect. According to the clip, Pinu entered a medical store at 9:18 pm. He apparently got angry with one of the staff member who remained seated and did not stand to welcome him, and started beating him. According to reports, Pinu also had heated arguments with the shop owner after the incident. The accused also abducted the victim,

Reacting to the incident, Renu Devi said that she never encourages such behaviour and haven't met him for years. "I never encourage the wrong behaviour. I've no relation with Pinu, with that house, since many years. We're not on talking terms. Still, I'm being dragged. If anyone commits a mistake, he/she should be punished, even if it's me," she said.

Meanwhile, a police case has been registered and investigations are on. "A case has been registered. Victim's family has been provided with police security. We've seized a 4-wheeler that was used to abduct the victim & take him to some other place," Bettiah Superintendent of Police Jayant Kant said.
