New Delhi, October 1: A case has been filed by a┬аlawyer against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at Tilak Marg police station for promoting enmity on the grounds of caste and religion and defaming BJP leaders over the killing of Apple employee Vivek Tiwari in Uttar Pradesh. The complaint has been lodged under the sections 295A, 504, 153A and 505 of IPC and Section 67 of IT Act. This comes after the Delhi CM made a remark on the alleged murder of┬аTiwari by Uttar Pradesh Police in Lucknow. The complainant, Lawyer Ashwini Upadhyay, has lodged the complaint against the Delhi CM after he criticised the BJP government over the murder of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari in Uttar Pradesh by a police constable, saying that the party does not "even protect the interest of Hindus". Arvind Kejriwal in a series of tweet criticised BJP and said, "Why did they kill Vivek, a Hindu? Bhartiya Janata Party leaders are freely raping women and getting away with it. Open your eyes to the fact that the BJP is not a well-wisher of Hindus. They will not think for two-minutes before murdering all Hindus to get to power," he tweeted in Hindi early on Sunday morning.

Soon after his comment, the Delhi CM was criticised by netizens and political leaders. Former AAP leader Kapil Mishra said that Arvind Kejriwal's remark will stir up the feeling of communalism. "He does not know what I am going through. No politics should be played over my husband's death. Please do not link everything with faith and religion," News18 quoted Kalpana Tiwari as saying.

The police officers who were involved in the incident have been released from their service and charged for killing the executive.
