Following a massive fire, at around 11:30 am today, 29 crew members of Offshore Support Vessel Coastal Jaguar jumped into the water. According to an ANI update, 28 members were miraculously rescued by Indian Coast Guard.
Visakhapatnam, August 12: Following a massive fire, at around 11:30 am on Monday, 29 crew members of Offshore Support Vessel Coastal Jaguar jumped into the water. According to an ANI update, 28 members were miraculously rescued by Indian Coast Guard, but one member is still missing. Search operations for the one crew member is underway. Visuals from the incident showed a raging fireball on the ship and thick black smoke billowing towards the sky. According to an India Today report, the Indian Coast Guard Ship Rani Rashmoni, which was in the area, was diverted for rescue operations. Indian Coast Guard Ships and C-432 and a helicopter were used for the rescue operations. On Sunday, a Singapore ship caught fire off Porbandar coast. The Coast guard and the Gujarat Maritime Board provided help to douse the fire.
