Visakhapatnam, August 12: Following a massive fire, at around 11:30 am on Monday, 29 crew members of Offshore Support Vessel Coastal Jaguar jumped into the water. According to an ANI update, 28 members were miraculously rescued by Indian Coast Guard, but one member is still missing. Search operations for the one crew member is underway. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Ships Carrying Indian Crew Catch Fire Off Russia, 10 Killed.
Visuals from the incident showed a raging fireball on the ship and thick black smoke billowing towards the sky. According to an India Today report, the Indian Coast Guard Ship Rani Rashmoni, which was in the area, was diverted for rescue operations. ICGS Rani Rashmoni's crew throwing over lifebuoys to the crew swimming in the water.

Indian Coast Guard Ships and C-432 and a helicopter were used for the rescue operations. On Sunday, a Singapore ship caught fire off Porbandar coast. The Coast guard and the Gujarat Maritime Board provided help to douse the fire.
