Vikas Chaudhary Murder Case: Two Arrested for Killing Haryana Congress Leader Over Money Dispute

New Delhi, June 29: The Haryana Police on Saturday, June 29, have arrested two people including a woman in connection with the murder case of Indian National Congress leader Vikas Chaudhary on Thursday. The development comes a day after the slain Congress leader was cremated in Haryana's Faridabad. According to reports, Chaudhary was killed over a financial dispute, said police. The arrested woman's husband Kaushal and the other person who allegedly pulled down the trigger are still absconding, but the car used by assailants have been found. The arrested Roshni and Naresh, both residents of Gurgaon, procured the arm that was given to the assailants for the job, said police, reported Hindustan Times. Chaudhary, Haryana Congress spokesperson, was shot dead on Thursday at a parking lot of gym at sector-9. The assailants had shot a total of 12 rounds at him. Responding to the murder, AICC president Rahul Gandhi said it reflects the worsening law-and-order situation in Haryana.

"The killing of Congress spokesperson and leader Vikas Chaudhary in Faridabad is a condemnable, shameful and tragic incident. It reflects the deteriorating law-and-order situation in Haryana. May Chaudhary's soul rest in peace and may God provide his family the strength to bear this loss," Rahul Gandhi had said in a tweet.
