New Delhi, May 4: Nearly two months after being discharged from the Army hospital, first visuals have emerged of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. The hero pilot of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is being seen clicking selfies and sharing lighter moments with his colleagues. The video has been going viral on social media and netizens say it is heartwarming to see Abhinandan relaxed with his Air Force mates.

In the 119-second clip, Abhinandan is being seen in the combat gears, sharing moments of joy and laughter with his colleagues. The clip is dated to be of sometime back last month. His condition appears to be stable, and from the video it looks like the Wing Commander has resumed his services in the IAF.

Abhinandan had flown the MIG-21 Bison during the dogfight with Pakistan Air Force on February 27. he had shot down the top range F-16 used by the PAF, before his chopper was downed by the Pakistani forces.

The Imran Khan government decided to release Abhinandan a day after capturing him, describing it as a goodwill gesture from Islamabad to establish peace with India.
