A month after the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by a Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT), a video of the operation surfaced on social media. The Army killed the infiltrators along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir in the first week of August.

The Army killed the infiltrators along the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir in the first week of August. The video was shared by news agency ANI on Monday, in which bodies of killed Pakistani Army regulars and terrorists could be seen lying on the LoC.
According to reports, around five to seven Pakistani Army regulars or suspected terrorists were neutralised by the Indian security forces. The aerial images of the deceased terrorists were issued by the Army last month. A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the infiltrators. Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased after the Narendra Modi government scrapped the special status of Jammu and Kashmir by diluting the Article 370. After the Modi government’s move, Pakistan downgraded bilateral relations with India. Ceasefire incidents by Pakistani Army also increased after the abrogation of the Article 370 by India. According to media reports, Pakistan had violated ceasefire over 200 times since then.
Last month, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat reviewed the readiness of security agencies against ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir during his two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley. Gen Rawat visited the LoC along with Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh.
