Bandh, October 14: An on-duty constable was bitten by a venomous snake at the Superintendent of Police office in Uttar Pradesh's Bandh district on Monday, police said.

According to the victim, Vivek  Singh (27), the incident took place when he tried to open the window of an air-conditioned room of the office and was bitten by the poisonous snake hidden behind the aperture. Police said that Singh is out of danger now.
