Varanasi: Shooting in JHV Mall 'Over Discount' Leaves Two Dead, Four Injured

Varanasi, October 31: At least two were dead and four left injured with serious injuries in a shooting incident at a mall in Varanasi on Wednesday. The victims have been rushed to the Singh Medical Research Hospital.
The incident was reported in the afternoon at JHV Mall, which falls under the jurisdiction of Cantt police station. The armed miscreants got tangled in a quarrel with the staff of a branded clothes showroom, located on the ground floor of the mall. A search operation has been launched to apprehend the accused, said Senior Superintendent of Police Anand Kulkarni. A team led by the SSP is present at the site where the shootout was reported. A forensic panel has also been called to collect evidence.
According to the police, two showroom staff died on the spot due to the bullet injuries, whereas, four others are being treated.
