Lucknow, Sep 13: In fresh embarrassment to Uttar Pradesh police, three cops have been suspended in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad after a video of them drinking liquor went viral on social media. According to a tweet by ANI, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said that the three policemen have been suspended as they were consuming alcohol while on duty.

"We've suspended 3 men after a video in which they can be seen consuming liquor went viral. They were drinking on duty. Source of video's unknown as yet", the SSP of Moradabad was quoted by ANI. It must be noted that this is not the first time that Uttar Pradesh policemen have been found guilty of consuming alcohol while on duty.

On Wednesday, two policemen in Noida were suspended for alleged indiscipline after they apparently failed to recognise a vehicle of the Uttar Pradesh police chief. According to a report by PTI, the Director General of Police (DGP) O P Singh was on his way to attend a meeting in New Delhi when he happened to cross the city, according to a senior Gautam Budh Nagar police critical.

In April, a video of police constable dancing and showering money on the dancers while on duty went viral on social media. Reports inform that the incident had taken place an event in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. The constable was suspended following the incident.
