Uttar Pradesh Shocker: Woman Alleges Gangrape by Four Men in Rampur, Cops Deny Survivor's Account

Rampur, June 19: In a shocking case, a woman from Uttar Pradesh's Rampur district claimed that she was gang-raped by four men in front of her husband. The incident took place on June 11. As per the latest development, all the accused have been arrested. Contrary to the survivor's account of the incident, the police investigation found that she was not gangraped. Speaking to ANI, Sub-Inspector Brijesh Kumar on reports of a woman's gangrape said, "On June 11, a couple was thrashed by four men. During the investigation, it was found that the woman was not gang-raped. The four have been arrested, they had themselves recorded incident and made the video viral." According to earlier reports, the cops had registered a case on survivor's complaint in the case. The woman had claimed that she was on a bike with her husband when they were stopped by some young men. The woman was sexually assaulted, while her husband was beaten up, she claimed. The complainant further said that the accused tied her husband to a tree and gang raped her in from of him.

After the episode, the accused made a video of the violent incident and made it viral on social media. The footage is being widely shared in Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter. Meanwhile, a probe is underway.
