In a shocking case, a woman from Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar threw her twin daughters in a pond after an argument with her husband on Sunday. The infants were just 20 days old. The woman and her husband have been arrested by the police.

Muzaffarnagar, September 23: In a shocking incident, a woman from Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar threw her twin daughters in a pond after an argument with her husband on Sunday. The infants were just 20 days old. The woman and her husband have been arrested by the police, The Hindustan Times reported. According to cops, the mother, Nazma, was unsure how she would bring up her daughters since her husband, Waseem, was jobless for some time. The couple had an argument over Waseem's failure to find a job. In anger, the woman flung her daughters in the pond, Muzaffarnagar district police chief Abhishek Yadav told Hindustan Times.

After realising what she has done, she told villagers that her infants had been kidnapped. She also reported the kidnapping to police. The bodies of the twins were fished out of the village pond. The accused have been arrested. According to police, Waseem used to live in Mansoorpur town. However, after the wedding, he shifted to Nazma's village.
