Kanpur, July 5: In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old groom died by suicide just hours after his wedding in Shivra village, under the jurisdiction of Usrahar police station in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah on Wednesday, July 3. The bride, who was in the next room, fell unconscious after learning about the demise of her husband. The police have yet to determine the reason behind this extreme step.

According to a report published by the Crime Tak, Acting SSP of Etawah, Satyapal Singh, the Usrahar police received information on Wednesday evening about a groom who had hanged himself in Shivra village. “A sub-inspector, along with a police team, reached the spot. After a preliminary investigation with the forensic team, the body was sent for post-mortem. Wedding Took Place on July 2, Groom Ended Life on July 3

Satendra Yadav, the younger son of Gyan Singh Yadav, was married to a girl from a village in the Takha area of the district. The wedding procession (Baraat) left for the wedding on July 2 and, after the ceremony, returned with the bride at 2 PM on July 3. Jitendra Yadav, the groom’s elder brother, expressed shock and confusion over the incident. “Satendra was happy with his marriage. But just a few hours after his marriage, he died by suicide. We have no information on what could have driven him to take this step,” he said.
