Lucknow, July 6: In a shocking incident a man, identified as a Sub-Inspector with the CISF, killed his wife of six months before dying by suicide over domestic disputes between the couple, as per reports. The deceased couple has been identified as Sujit Kumar and Varsha. The incident has been reported from Dadri area under the Jarcha police jurisdiction. The deceased was posted at the NTPC plant in Dadri. According to report, a suicide note has also been recovered by the police. The police reportedly believe that the officer first smothered his wife with a pillow and then hanged himself to death. However, the exact cause of the death will be ascertained post autopsy. Additional DCP, Zone 3, Vishal Pandey told the Hindustan Times, "A suicide note was recovered from the spot which stated that the two were having domestic disputes because of which he decided to take the extreme steps. The incident came to light, when the CISF officer's colleagues, who went to check up on him when he didn't came for his shift, found his room locked by air cooler on. Following which they broke the door and found the couple's dead bodies.

In a similar incident, an elderly man killed his wife and hanged himself after an apparent heated argument last week. The incident was reported from Vasant Kunj in New Delhi. An investigation in this matter has being undertaken to ascertain the cause of suspected murder-suicide case. Meanwhile, no suicide note was found from the spot.
