Lucknow, October 11: In a tragic incident, at least seven people have died after a speeding bus ran over them in Bulandshahr on Friday. The driver of the truck fled from the spot after abandoning the vehicle at some distance. Reports inform that out of the seven deceased, three were women, while four others were children. Reports inform that the bus was full of pilgrims who were returning from Vaishno Devi. The bus driver is learnt to have fled the accident scene. According to a report by News 18, all seven deceased were pilgrims and were on their way to take a dip in the river Ganga at Naraura ghat in the city. The report states that the speeding bus ran over them when they stopped to rest on the roadside.
Earlier this month, four people were killed and several were after a container truck collided with a divider following which an SUV rammed onto it on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh. Reports quoted Circle Officer Ambareesh Bhadoria saying that the driver of the container truck, who was going towards Lucknow, fell asleep while driving, following which the tragic incident took place.
