Madnapur, October 4: After an 11-year-old boy was refused Rs 2 for buying a biscuit, by his mother, he allegedly hanged himself from a tree. The boy took this extreme step after his mother refused to give him money for buying biscuits. The boy was class IV student and the incident took place in Madnapur block in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the TOI report, initially, nobody including the police believed that boy took this drastic step for such a small reason. After the decreased body was sent to postmortem, which concluded that he died due to suffocation. The deceased was identified as Chandrabhan and was the eldest son among three kids.
On Tuesday morning, before going to school he asked for tea and biscuits. His mother gave him tea, but the biscuits were not available at home, so he asked for Rs 2 for buying it. Despite the multiple requests, his mother refused and asked him to leave. After scolded by his mother, the boy left the home with a scarf and didn't come back. Later in the afternoon, the villagers found his body hanging from the tree and informed police and family.
