Noida, May 8: In a yet another shocking case reported from Uttar Pradesh, a 16-year old girl from Mamura was severely gang-raped and kept confined for 51 days by three men, the police said on Tuesday. The victim said she knew two of the accused who allegedly abducted her. The accused were identified as Aditya, Suraj and Chotu. The girl was confined and raped between March 2 and April 22, the accused also threatened her of dire consequences if she tried to flee. According to a report in The Times of India, the girl's father said that two of the accused, Chotu and Suraj, went to his house and took her daughter into confidence in the first week of March. “They kidnapped the girl and kept her confined in a room, where she was raped between March 2 and April 22. In their absence, the girl would be assaulted by Aditya, a resident of Sector 135 who would be present in the room,” the complaint says. The girl somehow fled from the spot on April 22 and reached home. She narrated the whole ordeal to her parents, after which they approached the police, reported The Times of India. The victim's family alleged that even after repeated attempts, the cops refused to lodge a complaint.
On April 30, when the girl's father gave a written complaint to Gautam Budh Nagar Superintendent of police (SP) an FIR was finally lodged. The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged under Indian Penal Code sections 376D of Rape, 506 of criminal intimidation and relevant sections of POCSO Act and a medical test was conducted on Tuesday.
