Sambhal, October 24: A shocking incident unfolded in Sirsi town of Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district, where a man allegedly killed his wife in front of their three young sons after suspecting her of infidelity. The brutal event occurred on the evening of October 22, when the victim, a 32-year-old woman, had her throat slit with a knife during an argument with her husband. The suspect's fit of rage was reportedly triggered by seeing his wife on a video call with another man.

Following the incident, the 35-year-old suspect, identified as Sonu Saini, confessed to the crime at the Sirsi police station outpost, where he brought his three sons after the attack. According to a report by the Times of India, Sonu admitted that he returned home unexpectedly and found Rakhi Saini speaking with someone on the phone. In a moment of uncontrolled anger, he grabbed a knife and attacked her, slitting her throat in front of their children, resulting in her tragic death. Authorities revealed that Sonu and Rakhi had been married for twelve years and had three children together. As per the report, Additional SP Shrish Chandra, Circle Officer Anuj Chaudhary, and SHO Mohit Kajla promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the crime, where they found the weapon used in the crime. Rakhi's body has been sent for an autopsy, and police have registered a murder case against Sonu, who has been remanded to jail pending further investigation.
