Kanpur, July 15: In a dramatic turn of events, a wedding in the Ganj Dundwara area of Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj district was thrown into chaos when the groom’s father eloped with the bride’s mother. The incident caused a significant stir in both families just before the wedding.

According to a report published by Aaj Tak, Shakeel, the groom's father, fell in love with the bride's mother, Pappu's wife. Pappu’s daughter was set to marry Shakeel’s son. Shakeel, who frequently visited Pappu’s home in preparation for the wedding, allegedly seduced Pappu’s wife and fled with her just before the wedding. According to reports, Shakeel has 10 children, and the bride’s mother has 6 children. Both have run away from home. Regarding his wife’s disappearance, Pappu said that Shakeel had kidnapped her. He explained that his daughter was set to marry Shakeel’s son, which required Shakeel to visit their home. The Uttar Pradesh Police have launched an investigation into the matter. CO Vijay Kumar Rana reported that Pappu initially filed a missing person report on June 8, stating that his wife was missing. On July 11, Pappu submitted another application, this time accusing Shakeel of kidnapping his wife. The police are currently taking action according to the rules.
