Amroha, July 11: In a shocking turn of events, a wedding in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha was abruptly cancelled after the groom received a phone call from the bride's alleged lover moments before the final rituals were to be completed. The lover also sent intimate photos and videos of the bride on the groom’s phone. The lover threatened him and asked him to leave the bride as they were in love with each other.

According to a report in Jagran, the groom received the call just as the wedding rituals were nearing completion. The caller, identified as Kamal Singh, claimed to be the bride's lover and threatened the groom, urging him to call off the wedding. To substantiate his claims, Kamal Singh sent several obscene videos and photos of the bride to the groom's mobile phone. Upon seeing the videos and photos, the groom immediately decided to cancel the wedding. The wedding procession, which had already arrived in Adampur and enjoyed the wedding feast, was left in disarray as the groom refused to proceed with the remaining rituals, including the traditional seven rounds and sendoff ceremony. Local authorities have taken action in response to the incident. An FIR has been registered against Kamal Singh, and the police have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
