Bareilly, June 1: In a shocking incident, four workers were beaten up by unidentified youths in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly for allegedly eating non-vegetarian food near the place of worship. The video of the incident is also going viral on the internet, the youths can be seen beating the labourers with the belt. They arrived at the city after being hired by a mason. "Four unidentified labourers had been hired for construction work at a residence. During the lunch break, they had gone to a nearby devasthan (a miniature shrine with idols of gods usually near shady trees) to take meal sitting under the tree," Dhananjay Singh, Baheri station house officer said.
The men arrived suddenly and started beating them up, alleging they were eating meat. Meanwhile, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Manish, Adesh Valmiki and four unknown men. Two police teams have been set up to nab the accused.
