Aligarh, Sep 19: A total of five accused have been arrested for allegedly killing six people in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh on Tuesday. According to a tweet by ANI, pistols, mobile phones and other equipment have been seized by the Police. The reason for the killing is yet to be ascertained and will be known once the investigation into the matter is completed. Ajay Sahani, SSP, Aligarh was quoted by ANI saying that the accused will be produced in court. In a separate incident on Tuesday, an encounter broke out between miscreants and police in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli. Superintendent of Police (SP), Dinesh Kumar informed that two people have been arrested out of which one has been injured while one policeman was also injured during the encounter.

Earlier this week, six people were killed and many were injured after a blast took place at a chemical tank blast in Bijnore district of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports by IANS, the incident took place at the Mohit Chemical and Metro factory situated on the Dehat Marg. Senior officials including the district magistrate Atal Rai and Superintendent of Police (SP) Umesh Kumar Singh rushed to the scene of the incident.
