Raebareli, November 12: In a shocking incident, a child welfare official Mamata Dubey was thrashed by students at Gandhi Sewa Niketan in Uttar Pradesh’s Raebareli. The entire incident was recorded on CCTV. The video is now doing rounds on social media. In the video it can be seen that after a heated argument, students threw Dubey’s bag on the floor. The situation came under control after the intervention of a district probation department official. Dubey told news agency ANI that she was also locked in a washroom by children. She said, “When I talked to authorities about it, they said that children can do whatever they want. When I went there after two days, I was beaten by the children. Meanwhile, the students accused Dubey of calling them orphans. However, The child welfare official alleged that the manager of the institute had orchestrated the attack. According to Dubey, she was removed from the job and later she was reinstated after the intervention of former district magistrate Neha Sharma. She said that after the transfer of Sharma, the manager also harassed her.
