Lucknow, December 04: A leader of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) was found dead near Badshahnagar railway crossing in Lucknow's Mahanagar on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Pratyush Mani Tripathi. The members of the organisation reached KGMU Trauma centre and protested against police. One of the leaders of the BJYM claimed that Tripathi was also attacked on November 25, but the police did not take any action. He also alleged that Tripathi met Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani for giving him security, but nothing was done.

According to reports, The SSP rushed to the hospital almost 30 minutes after Tripathi’s death. He even tried to pacify the protesters but in vain. The protesters demanded compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the family of the deceased. After receiving a call from a commuter about a person lying near the tracks, police took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police are awaiting autopsy report to ascertain the exact cause of the death. Meanwhile, the cops have launched a manhunt operation to nab the accused named by people known to Tripathi.
