Bhadohi, February 23: In a tragic incident, at least 10 people died after an explosion in a two-storey building of a carpet factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi on Saturday. However, according to police, they had information that fire-crackers were being made here illegally. The explosion reportedly took place due to the crackers that were stored inside the building. Rescue operations are underway. A team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reached the site. Bomb difusal squad and a forensic team also rushed to the spot. Earthmoving equipment has been pressed into service to carry out relief and rescue works, reported news agency PTI. According to media reports, because of the high intensity of the blast, the entire building was reduced to rubble. Due to the explosion, three nearby houses were also collapsed.
