US Calls For Peace After Indian Army Pounds 4 Terror Camps in Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir

A day after Indian Army destroyed four terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) -- killing at least four Pakistani soldiers -- United States Department appealed for peace between India and Pakistan.

Srinagar/New Delhi, October 21: A day after Indian Army destroyed four terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) -- killing at least four Pakistani soldiers -- United States Department appealed for peace between India and Pakistan. It stated the USA would like to continue the dialogue between both the nuclear power countries and sort out their issues related to Kashmir.

According to reports, based on news agency ANI, US State Department stated, "We are aware of media reports of recent shelling at Line of Control. We call on all parties to maintain peace and stability along LoC and to prevent cross-border terrorism. We continue to support direct dialogue between India and Pakistan on Kashmir &other issues of concern." Indian Army Destroys 4 Terror Launch Pads in PoK in Retaliatory Attack.

Earlier on Sunday, Indian Amry retaliated in a counter-attack launched against the ceasefire violation that killed two soldiers and a civilian in Jammu and Kashmir. During the artillery attack, Pakistani post was hit and resulted in casualties. Sources claim that attacks were targetted upon the terror launch pads. However, Pakistan had denied the destruction of any such camps.

Sources even claim that four terror launch pads were located in Neelam Valley opposite the Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, which were hit by Indian Army's gunfire and artillery. It is to be known that the total number of ceasefire violations by Pakistan till October 2019 have crossed the 2,300 mark. In the entire calendar year of 2018, the total number of ceasefire violations had been recorded at 1,629.
