Lucknow, May 31: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Friday slammed the Yodi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh over the UPPSC paper leak case. The Congress General Secretary accused the Yogi government of favouring middlemen in the scam by looting the students. She also accused the Uttar Pradesh government of giving the contract to print exam papers to “defaulters”.
Priyanka’s attacked the Uttar Pradesh Government a day after the arrest of UPPSC examination controller Anjulata Katiyar. She was arrested on Thursday morning. Anjulata was taken under custody from her residence in Allahabad by a joint team of STF and Cholapur police of Varanasi. She was sent to jail on 14 days judicial remand after producing before a special judge (anti-corruption) Lal Chandra, reported The Times of India. Laptop mobile phone and other documents were seized from Anjulata. Earlier on May 28, STF had arrested Kolkata's Kaushik from Varanasi in connection with the case. The exam was scheduled on July 29, 2018. It was leaked on July 28, a day before the exam.
