Mumbai, August 30: Hero Motocorp is prepping to launch the updated version of its Destini flagship scooter in India very soon. Though the two-wheeler maker hasn’t announced the official launch date, the latest market rumours suggest it could be introduced in the first week of September. To build up the excitement, the brand has dropped the first teaser of the 2024 Hero Destini 125 on social media, showcasing new features to be seen on the updated model.
Through the teaser, we get a glimpse of the upcoming Hero Destini, which confirms the existence of a completely revamped front apron with turn indicators integrated and engulfed in golden-coloured trim. It also gets a new headlamp unit, which is all-LED with bi-projector lamps. Additionally, the revamped headlight unit has a new H-shaped LED DRL commonly seen on all recent Hero models. This 30-second teaser also reveals that the upcoming Destini 125 will feature black alloy wheels. It is also expected to have a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity offering texts and calls. Hero is expected to offer its i3S start/stop technology on the new Destini. The scooter is said to retain telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. For braking, the scooter gets a disc brake up front with a Bybre calliper for improved braking performance.
Though the exact specifications remain unwrapped, the updated Hero Destini 125 is said to retain the same powerhouse. It is believed to be the same 124.6cc single-cylinder engine as seen on the outgoing model. The unit makes 9 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 10.4 Nm at 5,500 rpm, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
