UP Raj Bhavan Gets Threat Letter, Jharkhand Naxal Group Warns of Bomb Attack if Governor Anandiben Patel Doesn't Vacate in 10 Days

Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, December 3, got a letter threatening to blow it up with dynamite if the Governor does not leave the place within ten days. Raj Bhavan is the official residence of Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow, December 3: Uttar Pradesh Raj Bhavan on Tuesday, December 3, got a letter threatening to blow it up with dynamite if the Governor does not leave the place within ten days. Raj Bhavan is the official residence of Governor of Uttar Pradesh. According to a statement by Raj Bhavan, the letter was from Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), a Jharkhand based extremist group. The letter is being taken seriously, the statement said. Additional chief secretary to Governor Anandiben Patel, Hemath Rao, has sent the letter to the state’s home department, it said.

"The Dept has written to the Director General of Police (DGP), DG Intelligence and ADG Security to investigate the matter immediately and report by tomorrow after a full assessment of the situation and to take measures as necessary," UP Home Department said.

Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh and the state administration have been informed about the matter. Jharkhand DGP KN Choubey has also been notified. A high-level investigation is launched into the matter.
