Kanpur, September 1:  A bizarre incident unfolded on the final day of the Uttar Pradesh Police constable recruitment exam at Government Girls Inter College Dhanewa Dhanei in Maharajganj when a female candidate showed up with an iron chain locked around her waist. During a routine security check, the candidate triggered the metal detector, revealing the chain.

Upon inquiry, the woman disclosed that the lock was placed on the advice of a Tantrik (spiritual healer) to rid her of ghostly shadow, UPTak reported. She adamantly refused to remove the lock, even if it meant sabotaging the exam. Her family, present at the gate, corroborated her story, stating that she had been troubled by "ghosts" and that the lock would only be removed once the last "ghost" left her. Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment 2024 Exam: Manpower, Advanced Technology Used To Ensure Integrity of UP Police Recruitment Exam.
