According to Srikant Rangeela, media in-charge of Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (Kesco), the inflated bill resulted from a technical glitch due to recent server changes. "Some of the electricity meters developed technical faults, preventing correct data registration. The issue will be fixed soon," Rangeela assured. Uttar Pradesh Shocker: Man Ends Life After Lucknow Municipal Corporation Puts Up Notice for Recovery of Rs 57,000 in House Tax.

He shared his frustration on Reddit, posting a screenshot of the BSES Rajdhani message indicating the amount due. "Pain. How is this even possible?" he wrote.

Similarly, Jasveer Singh, co-founder of the Gurgaon-based Join Hood App, faced a shocking INR 45,000 bill for two months.
