New Delhi, August 2: The Supreme Court on Friday deferred shifting of the Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer to Delhi as their health condition continues to be critical. The top Court said that the duo will not be airlifted from King George Medical College at Lucknow to the national capital, adding that the treatment would continue at the Lucknow hospital. On Friday, the King George's Medical University said the condition of the injured is critical but stable. The move comes after the relatives of the rape survivor informed the apex court that the health condition of the injured (the girl and the lawyer) was not stable and it would not be possible to transfer them to Delhi in this condition. On Thursday, doctors of King George Medical University in Lucknow informed that the condition of the Unnao-rape survivor and her lawyer was stable. The in-charge of KGMU's Trauma Centre Dr Sandeep Tiwari informed that the rape survivor's condition was stable, but still she has been on ventilator support.

On Sunday, the car in which the Unnao rape survivor, her two aunts and lawyer were travelling was hit by a truck in Rae Bareli, killing her two aunts and leaving her and the advocate critically injured. The next day, the UP police filed a murder case against Sengar and nine others after the rape survivor's family filed a complaint alleging conspiracy behind the accident.
