New Delhi, June 22: The first full-term Union Budget of the second Narendra Modi-led government will be presented on July 5. The preparation was kickstarted with the "halwa ceremony" at the Finance Ministry headquarters in Delhi. As per the tradition, the printing of Budget-related documents begin after officials and workers at the Finance Ministry share the sweet.

This would be the first occasions in nearly 50 years when the Union Budget would be presented by a woman. Sitharaman is the first female leader after late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to head the Finance Ministry.
Out of the five Budgets presented during Narendra Modi's erstwhile regime, four were rolled out by BJP veteran Arun Jaitley, whereas, the Interim Budget 2019, rolled out on February 1 this year, was presented by Piyush Goyal.
