The video was posted by Naveen Dalal on Facebook. The social media profiles of the duo define them as "gau rakshaks" or cow vigilantes.

The duo further added that they will be surrendering themselves before the police on August 17, at 12pm, outside the house of Kartar Singh Sarabha in Ludhiana's Sarabha village. Kartar Singh was a Sikh revolutionary and freedom fighter who died in 1915.
