New Delhi, April 24: Miffed with Bharatiya Janata Party after being denied a ticket for Lok Sabha Elections 2019, North West Delhi MP Udit Raj joined Congress on Wednesday. BJP has fielded famous singer Hans Raj Hans from this seat for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Soon after making the announcement of joining Congress in presence of party president Rahul Gandhi, Raj dropped the prefix 'Chowkidar' from his Twitter handle. It is be known that Raj had been giving signals of switching side ahead of polls, if don't get the ticket for Lok Sabha elections. Earlier on Tuesday, Raj briefed a press conference and announced that he would be leaving the BJP soon. He also had accused of being sidelined as he belongs to the Dalit community.
